This blog was created by a group of users and contributors of KDE in the brazillian state of Piauí. The ideia was born during the Software Freedom Day Teresina 2009 and has concretized during the Akademy-Br 2010, which happened in Salvador, where the group was officially created. Currently, the group has the following members:

Aracele Torres (ara) – A historian that studies and lives in the world of the informatas. Which believes in the  technical and social potencial of free software. Which researchs about the implications of the ciberculture in the production and consuption of knowlegde. Which uses and loves KDE. And search to demonstrate it translating and promoting it. Because its not a programmer, but promises learn and create good code.

Francisco Fernandes (Chicão) – Computer scientist  by the Federal Universitie of Piaui. Likes drawing, reading, sleeping, programming and the mama’s food. Eventually plays the flute when neighbors let it do it and really likes cartoons. Uses KDE like someone who eats cuzcuz in the breakfast: loves it. :) Programs in Java and Python, beeing a noob in C++ and working to get out of this situation.

Pedro Leonardo (Dom Pedro) – Artist and graphic designer. A lover of cinema, photography, friendship, rain and nostalgy. Colaborates with the graphic design of the KDE-PI and researchs about usability and ways to improve free software. Loves Piaui, loves art and even more in a open way of experimenting. Its the discovery of the real potential
that the virtual can offer.

Filipe Saraiva – brings the piaui in the heart, colaborates in lots of activities related with free culture in general. It has particular interests in the KDEEdu projects, about educative softwares, and cientific analises applications. It has sent a patch to KmPlot, but its hasnt become a real contributor yet. Graduated in computer science, currently its fulfilling his destiny as a Northeastern in São Paulo – and, like these retreatants, nourishes the desire of returning to his land.
